Azimac information

Azimac is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It belongs to azalides- the sub-group of macrolide antibiotics with bacteriostatic effect. The high concentrations of this substance have bactericidal effect in the inflamed area. Azimac affects extra- and intracellular pathogens. Gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, as well as some anaerobic microorganisms (Bacteroides bivius, Clostridium perfringens, Peptostreptococcus spp; Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Treponema pallidum, Borrelia burgdorferi) are sensitive to Azithromycin. Azithromycin is inactive against gram-positive bacteria, sensitive to Erythromycin, but fights Toxoplasma gondii.
